Adecco is recruiting for a Retail Manager for a Full-Time Permanent opportunity for our client based in Montreal, QC. 

The ideal candidate would be someone with an open availability for 40-44 hours per week.

The Retail Manager will have the Following Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the customer experience, sales floor in Retail, customer service, & register lanes. 
  • Walk the store with Supervisors and team members daily to create action plans for their department and/or areas of responsibilities; 
  • Execute effective and timely set up for all Retail flyers and promotions; 
  • Coordinate and execute sales and service-related initiatives, including merchandise changes to drive Retail sales in key areas – seasonal, feature areas, end caps, side caps, and promotions ;
  • Ensure Retail safety recall merchandise is pulled from the sales floor;
  • Organize and maintain the sales floor ticket areas to company standard;
  • Review all available reports to identify continued efficiency opportunities for the Cashiers and create action plans ;
  • Accountable for Customer Engagement performance, including: Tablet Assisted Sales, Associate Ordering System (AOS), In-Store Pickup (ISPU), Curbside Pickup (CSPU) and Philanthropy results to identify coaching and development opportunities; 
  • Support Order Management System (OMS) functions in an efficient and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction (e.g. AOS, Tablet).
  • Define and implement standards/procedures for ensuring optimal customer experience;
  • Supervise the activities of team members to ensure their interaction with customers reflects positively on the company;
  • Utilize GMB results to monitor the customer experience within the store;
  • Report and follows up on merchandise that does not meet Quebec language requirements. (Quebec only).
  • The Retail Manager Must Meet the Following Mandatory Requirements:

  • 3+ years retail management experience, including customer engagement and in-store merchandising
  • Must bilingual in both Canadian official languages ( French & English)
  • Knowledge of Retail and Baby products an asset;
  • Personal characteristics should include: high energy, relatable, active listener, high integrity, sound judgment, sense of urgency and self-motivation;
  • Exceptional relationship building skills  & Strong leadership skills  to inspire teams;
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong organizational, time, priority management, attention to detail, critical-thinker and problem-solver;
  • Ability to understand and interpret customer behaviour, while being calm under pressure
  • Understanding of policy, planning and strategy;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
