Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Retirement Home Manager for our Retirement Living client in Ottawa, ON. This is a permanent opportunity offering full time hours, Monday – Friday predominantly, but some flexibility may be required. The salary for this position will be determined based on education and experience. 

Retirement Home Manager Responsibilities: 
• Effectively supervise health and wellness teams in addition to providing care, administering medications to residents. (Including injections and narcotics);
• Oversee the strategic planning, development, implementation and evaluation of all care-related
programs and initiatives to residents;
• Ensure annual goals and objectives align with Clients’ values and participate in HR duties such as recruitment, organizing staff onboarding and training, maintaining staff scheduling, preforming regular performance reviews and ongoing coaching of staff;
• Hands-on leadership approach to monitoring and evaluating resident care while maintaining high standards of customer service;
• Resolve issues or concerns with fast, effective and sound judgement whilst ensuring compliance and reviewing outcomes with care teams as needed;
• Lead company initiatives related to regulatory compliance and resident health initiatives;
• Facilitate a collaborative and strong relationship with residents, local community, healthcare facilities and other community stakeholder(s);
• Foster a positive, resident-centered work environment where the free flow of ideas is encouraged, and information sharing is promoted to ensure the welfare of residents and employees;
• Provide on-call support and other duties as required.

Retirement Home Manager Qualifications:
• Actively registered as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with CNO, required;
• 5 years+ in a management role within the Seniors Housing, Retirement or Healthcare Industry preferred;
• Proven leadership, clinical judgement and interpersonal skills required;
• Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members;
• Experience in Dementia Care
• Bilingual (English, French) is an asset
