Adecco is currently hiring a Sales Coordinator on behalf of our client who is an award-winning international fashion and beauty publication focusing on high-quality lifestyle journalism.
The Sales Coordinator role is ideal for an individual with an interest in this industry who is looking to develop and grow their career. The successful candidates must possess customer relationship, business communication, and logistical experience. They must be driven, resourceful and thrive in a fast-paced creative environment.
The Sales Coordinator is located at the head office in Burnaby within the Sales and Marketing team. The compensation for this role is $40,000 per year to start, in addition to a benefits structure after three months. This is a permanent role with opportunities for advancement within the organization. Working hours are Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with a 1-hour lunch.
Sales Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Director of Sales to serve current and prospective digital and print advertising clients and the advertising and creative agencies they engage.
- Assist Director of Sales to obtain client commitment through follow-up and addressing ongoing discussions mainly via email and some phone conversations.
- Obtain print and digital creative by liaising with advertising agencies and/or clients, colleagues or other groups to facilitate delivery of product on time.
- Use, create and modify in-house sales templates and established processes, draft client sales proposals, responses, and contracts.
- Compile billing information, send out invoices and work with accounting to facilitate payment, when needed.
- Update and maintain the CRM system, which includes deriving client insights from the system to inform sales proposals and client correspondence.
- Research sales leads within the high-end Canadian and international consumer marketplace, suggesting sales strategies, and new business opportunities.
- Create sales and marketing materials to assist in sales activity.
- Maintain current and prospective client relationships by providing exceptional client service, including timely communication, consistent follow-up, and prompt, efficient handling of client inquiries and needs.
- Assist with reception when needed.
Sales Coordinator Requirements:
- 1-2 years in a similar/relevant role.
- Meticulous and consistent record-keeping with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to solve problems, work independent and multi-task under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills are a MUST (both oral and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe InDesign and Google Analytics.
- Working knowledge of customer relationship management software; WordPress, Revive Adserver and Mailchimp an asset.
- Confident personality who truly enjoys working with people.
- A strong work ethic.
- Known for acute attention to detail – this is a must.
- Discretion; an ability to confidentially handle confidential business information.
