Be a part of a growing team that YOU get to build!  Our food manufacturer in BELLEVILLE, ON is looking to add a new Sanitation Supervisor to their team.  As the supervisor for a small team on the evening shift (10pm-6am), you'll ensure all SSOP's are adhered to and the team is motivated to keep the plant and the facility clean and in compliance with all regulated sanitation standards.

The Role:
* build your team and prepare for the BRC audit
* Plans sanitation requirements and activities by establishing priorities, scheduling, assigning work and communicating with employees and key stakeholders frequently and regularly within timelines.
* Keeps detailed records and follow up on all sanitation-related activities and issues, such as inspections, violations, deficiencies, and corrective actions
* Plans, actively engages, communicates and provides direction with respect to sanitation and related activities in all programs such as Quality Assurance/Food Safety, BRC, HACCP, Employee Relations, Health and Safety Programs etc.
* Oversee clean-up activities of equipment and facilities in all production areas, equipment, food contact surfaces and exterior of the facility to ensure that all areas meet standard requirements performed by the Sanitation Team
* Perform regular inventories of sanitation chemicals and non-chemical supplies;
* Audits chemical concentrations of meters/ dispensers
* Collect swabs/ samples for environmental monitors (ATP, swabs, water samples)
* Manages Vendor relationships for supplies

Qualifications:
* Technical science diploma or degree an asset
* Relevant work experience (minimum 1 years) in food manufacturing environment
* Basic understanding of HACCP principles and government regulations
* Strong knowledge and experience with SSOP's
* Experience with Datahex Paperless software an asset
* Work involves lifting to 45lbs in weight occasionally
Involves exposure to Dairy, Peanuts, Tree nuts, Wheat, Egg, Sulphites as well as strong scents
