Adecco is currently hiring for a SCADA Engineer for one of our top clients in Regina, Saskatchewan. To qualify for this position, you must have a Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics or Software Systems).   

SCADA Engineer Responsibilities:

o  Monitor SCADA hosts and facilities to identify problem areas, and maintain target availability levels (98% communications, 99.99% hardware)
o  Ensure internal systems and external interfaces/processes are adequately documented to facilitate troubleshooting and maintenance processes.
o  Resolve SCADA system problems within specified time criteria.  
o  Development of new SCADA display management standards and organization of existing display files
o  Development of a Visual Basic / XE programming standard for TGL displays 
o  Develop HMI displays with input from users
o  Participate as a technical resource in the upgrade of the SCADA system application
o  Exercise lab testing of SCADA displays 
o  Exercise commissioning of the SCADA system database 
o  SCADA system database administration and commissioning related to projects

Experience with the following software would be beneficial 

-  MS Office, Project Server, Share Point   


-  SCADA systems and communications networks in the oil and gas industry; 
-  Competency in software, computer, communications and cyber security 
-  Working knowledge of SCADA best practices, standards, and operating procedures.
