SCADA Engineer

SCADA Engineer Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor SCADA hosts and facilities to identify problem areas, and maintain target availability levels (98% communications, 99.99% hardware)
  • Ensure internal systems and external interfaces/processes are adequately documented to facilitate troubleshooting and maintenance processes.
  • Resolve SCADA system problems within specified time criteria. 
  • Development of new SCADA display management standards and organization of existing display files
  • Development of a Visual Basic / XE programming standard for TGL displays
  • Develop HMI displays with input from users
  • Exercise lab testing of SCADA displays
  • Exercise commissioning of the SCADA system database
  • SCADA system database administration and commissioning related to projects
  • SCADA Engineer Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience with using MS Office, Project Server, Share Point would be beneficial 
  • Previous experience SCADA systems and communications networks in the oil and gas industry would be very beneficial
  • Competency in software, computer, communications and cyber security
  • Working knowledge of SCADA best practices, standards, and operating procedures.
  • Must have a Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics or Software Systems is preferred).
  • Must have a Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Must have excellent communication skills both verbally as well as written.  
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
  • Must be EIT or P.Eng eligible to register as EIT in Saskatchewan
