Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, full-time Scheduler for our client, a leading not-for-profit agency that provides community living services located in Belleville, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling staff while ensuring coverage for programs and services including vacation, lieu time, training as well as maintaining the staffing information on the scheduling software.   • Pay rate: $20.47/hour
  • Location: Belleville, ON
  • Shifts: 6:00 AM-6:00 PM (continental shift)

  • Job responsibilities include:

  • Schedules staff to ensure coverage for programs and services per the Collective Agreement including vacation, lieu time, training, disability, etc
  • Covers unexpected vacancies daily due to sick, compassionate, bereavement and other absences as they occur
  • Ensures coverage for current shifts due to staff meetings, training, etc
  • Develops and utilizes appropriate forms of communication with managers, payroll and other pertinent personnel
  • Ensures compliance with the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code and the Collective Agreement
  • Completes and posts schedules per the Collective Agreement and maintains the staffing information on the scheduling software
  • Produces required reports for budget/labour schedules when requested
  • Maintains complete and accurate documentation of scheduling information, including communications, requests for time off, etc - using appropriate computer system
  • Reports any health and safety concerns to the Human Resources Generalist and practices safe work habits
  • To qualify, you should:

  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate with demonstrated skills in: Creating and interpreting reports, Data entry and Office Administration
  • One (1) year of experience in a related role
  • Experience working with scheduling software and payroll
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills & demonstrated ability to follow through on communication commitments
  • Effective time management skills and excellent computer skills & data analysis skills
  • Ability to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and E-mail required
  • Strong work ethic, organization skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and high degree of tact and diplomacy
  • Knowledge of the collective agreement and administrative procedures
  • Strong knowledge of human resources management principles and procedures
  • Valid driver's license and access to an automobile
  • Must be fully vaccinated and pass a vulnerable sector check
