Adecco is currently recruiting for a Scrum Master - Senior for a 6-Month contract – with possibility of 3-month extension - with our Crown Corporation Client in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance or be eligible for it.
The Scrum Master - Senior will have the following responsibilities:
-    Promoting and supporting Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values
-    Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, planning, backlog refinement and retrospectives)
-    Removing impediments to the team's progress of its Sprint goal, which includes ensuring that outside interruptions are redirected to the Product Owner
-    Work with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization and by participating in Scrum of Scrum sessions
-    Coach and support Scrum Team(s) in becoming high-performing and self-organizing, delivering valuable product increments each Sprint
-    Work with Product Owner(s) and Product Manager(s) to ensure continuous delivery of a working software to maximize value
-    Help employees and stakeholders understand and enact Scrum and empirical product development
-    Ensure that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team
-    Support the Dev Team in working with cross-functional teams in various locations
-    Collaborate with and integrate a wide range of stakeholders across roles and groups 
-    Work closely with the Product Owner, internal and external stakeholders to ensure all dependencies are understood and obstacles are removed from Dev Team
-    Keep track of delivery pacing through on-going product release planning, ensuring the team is delivering on committed sprint goal at a consistent and sustainable pace
-    Supporting creative techniques for effective Product Backlog prioritization and long-term product planning to product delivery
-    Create an open environment for communicating and collaborating on business vision, goals, project backlog features for the Scrum Team and Product Management
-    Leading and coaching the Scrum Teams in its adoption of the Scrum Framework
-    Coach the team in Agile best practices including self-organization and cross-functionality in an organization that is transitioning to Agile 
The Scrum Master - Senior must meet the following mandatory requirements:
-    3+ years' experience as Scrum Master role for a software development team
-    5 years of relevant experience delivering large and complex projects as Scrum Master
-    Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM I)
-    Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS) with Nexus framework is recommended
-    Proven experience applying Scrum, Kanban and Scaled Scrum Nexus frameworks
-    Experience working with remote and distributed teams
-    Knowledge of other Agile approaches: Scrum, Kanban, etc.
-    Knowledge and/or experience with successful Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
-    Strong skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
-    Experience applying a wide variety of practices and to facilitate all Scrum Events
-    Proven knowledge of the application of Agile at scale and demonstrated ability to coach and lead the cultural and organizational change to make it work
-    Proven knowledge and practical experience of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
-    Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to encourage, motivate and guide team
-    Strong communication and influencing skills
-    Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with diverse personality types
-    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
