Search Consultant


Adecco is hiring a Search Consultant to join our growing search practice.  With a focus on creating an exceptional customer and candidate experience, the Search Consultant executes the full life cycle of direct hire recruiting for top tier, mid- to senior-level professionals for a variety of clients within one of the designated practices (life sciences, finance, creative or legal). They also develop client accounts, generate new business and expand business in existing accounts.

This role is remote and candidates can be located anywhere in Canada.

  • Search Consultant skills we look for:

  • Client sales guru: proficient with developing new business through leads, referrals and other forms of marketing, and negotiating fee agreements.

  • Networker: establishes and maintains a network of industry contacts through participation in professional/trade associations and other professional networking organizations. Creates a talent network of top professionals, passive and active.
  • Customer obsession: Partners with clients to gain a full understanding of their goals and objectives and to analyze hiring needs to determine the best recruiting methods. Manages and guides clients and candidates through the interviewing and hiring process to a successful conclusion, providing guidance and facilitating the negotiation process. 
  • Self-motivated go-getter: displays curiosity and relentless competitiveness in a fast-paced, agile and rewarding environment and can think and act autonomously.
  • Skilled communicator: creates job postings, screens resumes and conducts behavioral based interviews and competency-based evaluations to assesses talent against client requirements ensuring proper match, cultural fit and overall compatibility.
  • Technologically inclined: proficiently uses all Microsoft office products with prior experience using a CRM or an ATS and can adopt new technology easily
  • Requirements for the Search Consultant:

  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related field. A background in Finance, Legal, Creative or Life Sciences is a strong asset.
  • Minimum of three (3) years successful sales experience and/or experience recruiting top tier, mid- to senior-level candidates for a relevant industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
  • Prior hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to utilize Customer Relationship Management Systems and/or related tools.
