Search Director - Finance

Adecco is hiring within our own family of permanent colleagues! We are looking for a Director to join our growing Canadian search practice.  This role will lead our national Search team for our Finance practice, providing training, development and support.  You can also expect to be managing your own direct hire recruitment desk for top tier, mid- to senior-level professionals, generating and growing business in new markets and ensuring overall quality and customer and candidate experience in the Finance area.

This role is remote and candidates can be located anywhere in Canada.

  •  Search Director skills we look for:

  • Entrepreneur: Develops and grows from both a revenue and headcount perspective, including recruitment, forecasting and budgeting for the practice. 
  • Leader: Proven success in managing and driving productivity through others.  Provides strategic mentorship and guidance to the team including developing target lists and talent networks, establishing billing targets, attending client visits, assessing viability of orders and assisting with structuring complex agreements. 
  • Client sales guru: Proficient with developing new business through leads, referrals and other forms of marketing, and negotiating fee agreements.
  • Networker: Establishes and maintains a network of industry contacts through participation in professional/trade associations and other professional networking organizations. Ensures there is a talent network of top professionals, passive and active.
  • Customer obsession: Oversees all client accounts to ensure quality control and successful delivery to improve the overall customer experience.  Partners with clients to gain a full understanding of their goals and objectives and facilitates the interviewing, hiring and negotiation process between clients and candidates.
  • Self-motivated go-getter: Creative problem solver that displays curiosity and relentless competitiveness in a fast-paced, agile and rewarding environment and can think and act autonomously.
  • Skilled communicator: Strong presentation skills with the ability to influence and motivate others.  Assesses talent against client requirements ensuring proper match, cultural fit and overall compatibility.
  • Technologically inclined: Proficiently uses all Microsoft office products with prior experience using a CRM or an ATS and can adopt new technology easily.
  •  Requirements for the Search Director: 

  • Completion of post-secondary education in a related field. A background in Finance is a strong asset. 
  • Minimum of seven (7) years successful sales experience as well as experience recruiting top tier, mid- to senior-level candidates for a relevant industry.
  • Minimum of three (3) years managing a team in recruiting or sales. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
  • Prior hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to utilize Customer Relationship Management Systems and/or related tools.
