Adecco is currently seeking a full-time Environmental/Regulatory Manager to join one of Canada's premier petroleum refiners in Calgary, AB. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of environmental standards, guidelines, and engineering practices across the organization's assets. This position offers a unique chance to drive environmental strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

 ·       Location: Calgary, AB

·       Shifts: 5 days on / 2 days off

·       Job type: Full-time | Contract

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Coordinate & lead safety related activities for Projects

·       Liaise & support Affiliates safety groups & coordinate with Projects

·       Coordinate the safety resource requirements for Affiliate & Projects

·       Support the project by development, coordination, consultation & implementation of a systematic approach to safety management through the application of the Project Safety Management System

·       Support the continuous improvement in environmental performance of company via direct support to assets and managements.

·       Promote best practice across company in energy efficiency, Greenhouse Gas emissions, air quality and Best Available Techniques (BAT) for Environmental Protection.

Requirements and Qualifications: 

·       Bachelor of Science or equivalent

·       Experience in Oil & Gas project construction

·       Safety management experience with a major Oil company

·       Knowledge of incident reporting guidelines and investigation processes

·       Familiarity with industry safety standards and practices

·       Ability to thrive in challenging work environments

·       Proficient in working with multidisciplinary teams

·       Strong understanding of safety management programs

·       Excellent influencing skills to enhance safety performance

·       Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada

Nice to have:

·       Experience in remediation and reclamation sites

·       Background in preparing environmental assessment plans

·       Safety certifications
