Adecco is currently recruiting for a full time permanent Senior Estimator - Construction in Edmonton, AB. As part of the senior management team, the Senior Estimator - Construction will be responsible for playing a key role in the sales process as well as a full cycle estimating function. You will help to build relationships with customers, secure new opportunities, estimate projects, monitor cost to budget relations, update software and be involved with project management.

Senior Estimator - Construction Responsibilities:
Formulate and oversee all estimates sent out to customers
Conduct pre construction meetings going through the estimate and what to expect on the job
Train junior estimators and oversee their work
Work with operations managers during the construction of the project to give them clarity on the estimate
Must be very good with technology and understand estimating software
Work with company CRM and software to ensure ease of project flow
Generate new business opportunities and maintain positive relationships
Participate in project scheduling activities and provide input on achieving pre-construction activities
Ensure that pre-construction deadlines are achieved
Attend meetings with owner and consultants and be comfortable to provide input at the meetings
Prepare and manage project budgets during design
Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
As part of the senior management team, act a the point of contact for your department reporting job progress and new business activity.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar role demonstrating a progressive level of responsibility.
Possess experience training, coaching and mentoring a team of junior estimators.
Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritize work to achieve them
Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, strong math skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Demonstrate a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Assist with the development of project strategies that meet the projects’ required performance, schedule and profitability target
Proven ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with client, consultants, suppliers and trades
