Senior Estimator, Commercial Construction in Edmonton, AB 

Adecco is looking for a Senior Estimator, Commercial Construction for our well established client in Edmonton, AB. The Senior Estimator, Commercial Construction will be responsible for providing accurate estimating, and subcontractor costing from the concept stage through to the contract letting and planning stage. Reporting to the Chief Estimator, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years estimating within Canadian commercial or institutional construction and have worked for a general contractor. Our client offers an extremely competitive salary, great benefits package. 

Senior Estimator, Commercial Construction Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare estimates, develop complete & accurate take-offs, and final estimate summaries
  • Contribute to and maintain cost databases, sub trade partners, and supplier directories
  • Analyze proposal specifications and drawings to establish the proper scope of work
  • Perform and/or manage the quantity survey and pricing effort for internal budget
  • Participate in periodic reviews and visits to projects as appropriate
  • Assist in the preparation and review of work plans as requested
  • Prepare conceptual budgets based on minimal information 

    • Senior Estimator, Commercial Construction Qualifications: 

  • Five (5) years’ of estimating experience with commercial or institutional construction within Canada
  • Having a designation of CET will be considered an asset
  • Previous experience winning bids valued at/over $10 Million
  • Familiar with Canadian and local building codes and construction materials
  • Proficient in understanding the unit costs and construction cost drivers
