Our client is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst for a 1 year contract. This great opportunity is in their North York ofice (free on-site parking) and with start date in early February.

RESPONSIBLITIES ARE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Run and review reports and provide analysis on financial data (i.e. gross margins, profitability, budget vs actual, P&L).
Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives & promotional activity.
Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
Work cross-functionally to prepare annual budgets & quarterly forecasts
Evaluation of operating procedures to ensure compliance from an audit perspective
Actively participate and/or organize semi-annual and annual inventory counts of both raw materials and completed product. Investigate count variances and resolve issues.
Prepare presentations to the Senior Leadership Team & Board of Directors.
Prepare Consolidated Financial Statements and variance analysis (i.e. Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, etc.).
Prepare year-end working papers and schedules, liaise with external auditors
Reporting/filing with regulatory bodies in Canada and the US (i.e. WSIB, taxes, etc.) either monthly or yearly (based on requirement).
Backup to all accounting roles at Head Office location.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
University Degree or College Diploma in Accounting.
CPA designation.
Minimum of 5 years accounting experience.
Strong leadership skills required.
Must have computer literacy in computerized accounting software.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
