Adecco Professional is currently hiring for a Senior Financial Analyst job opening in Toronto, ON. Our client is a growing accounting consulting firm who is looking to expand the team. We are looking for experienced, hardworking and driven Financial Analysts with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, and someone looking to make a positive impact in the organization.  Please note this role will commence as a work from home opportunity but you must be able to still go into the office when the time comes.

 

Some of the responsibilities for the Senior Financial Analyst job opening in Toronto, ON., include but are not limited to:

 

  • Responsible for performing monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting, management reports, financial results analysis and support all data presented with business insights, analysis and interpretations.
  • Assist in year-end audits including preparation and review of working papers, financial statements and notes.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results and explain monthly/yearly variances.
  • Manage preparation of financial outlooks and forecasts to facilitate decision making.
  • Prepare annual budgets, including cash flow, and analyze variances on a monthly basis.
  • Coordinate with Data team to ensure proper information is available for financial analysis and decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining and rationalization of current accounting practices.
  • Implement proper controls to ensure that all financial as well as non-financial activities are properly accounted for. 
  • Recommend benchmarks for measuring financial and operating performance.
  • Develop internal audit program and control system to ensure assets are well protected.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and fund recoveries.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects.

    The qualifications for the Senior Financial Analyst job opening in Toronto, ON includes:

     

  • At least 5 years’ experience in an Accountant and/or Financial Analyst role
  • Completed Bachelors degree in an accounting/finance/financial analyst or equivalent
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving-skills; ability to delve in and understand the problem and come up with solutions at the ready
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with clients; internal and external
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines; adaptable
  • Strengths in working independently and also as a team member
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel
