Our client in Whitby, ON is looking for an Inventory Manager to join their team. 

Inventory Manager Responsibilities:

-On a daily/weekly basis, analyze releases, monitor and take action when necessary on customer build schedules, supplier problems, quality issues, inventory levels and scheduling problems.

-Completes obsolete claims

 -Supervises, disciplines, reviews and counsels’ employees.

-Monitors Material Department performance by charting monthly results.

-Ensures plant is prepared for start ups and build outs.

-Investigates cost savings in transportation of materials.

-Coordinates major supply problems.

-Searches for improvements which could be made to plant for waste reduction, cost savings, efficiency improvements, etc.

Inventory Manager Qualifications:

-Strong inventory management knowledge

-Previous experience supervising employees

-Must have an understanding of lean manufacturing practices and principles and be able to affect change in a JIT operations environment.

-Desired Post Secondary Education or Experiential Equivalency Associates or Bachelors degree in Materials Management or related field is preferred-p

-SAP an asset
