Senior Java Developer (Full-Stack) - Remote

Adecco is hiring a Senior Java Developer (Full-Stack). You will be a part of a team that is a pioneer in the Digital Pathology market, with over 15,000 users in hospitals, medical clinics, and universities around the world.  Founded in 2004, the company is led by Dr. Erik Yeo, a physician with a career in laboratory medicine, hematology, and research. 

The company is looking to enhance its web-based user interface, by adopting the latest technologies to augment our low-latency, highly-responsive image viewer, which includes features such as image annotation, 3D zoom/pan on multiple images simultaneously, and support for images (which can range in size from 10 GB to 300 GB per image) from multiple 3rd party manufacturers, using their proprietary image formats. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the team in estimating new features. 
  • Analyze product requirements and estimate the required effort to implement for new feature and enhancement requests.
  • Define the user interface and technical specifications.
  • Code, test, document, and debug implementations, ensuring automated tests are developed simultaneously.
  • Participate in code reviews and technology evaluations.
  • Work with standards groups and customers as requested.
  • Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma from a recognized academic institution in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
  • At least 7 years professional experience as a software developer.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with the Spring Framework and the MVC design pattern, java enterprise,
  • Experience using web services, RESTful APIs, and/or SOAP.
  • Independence and willingness to take initiative, while maintaining coordination with the team.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Desirable Assets

  • Experience with displaying interactive image data in a browser (e.g., mapping data, large images, video).
  • Experience with medical informatics standards such as HL7 and DICOM.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., ISO13485, ISO9001, FDA QSR, etc.) other environment is fine as well
  • Bilingual (French/English)
