Adecco is partnering with a Simcoe county area global health care industry organization with manufacturing facility located in Barrie, Ontario.

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing/Process Engineer at a mid-management level to be at the forefront of maintaining and supervising the overall production and order process function as well as provide strategic enhancements. This position will be responsible for executing a focused effort to improve operational effectiveness primarily using Lean principles. This role will partner with local plant management to build a continuous improvement culture throughout the process of manufacturing & distribution.

Success in this position requires the development of collaborative relationships and delivery of measurable results through Lean projects and is expected will spend most of the time on the manufacturing floor working with the hourly workforce as well as lead the management team. The successful candidate will be the glue of the team and the liaison between the corporate office and the production floor.

Other duties and responsibilities will include Drive continuous improvement strategies, leading by example Provide overall leadership to the organization, working across all aspects and functions of the business Articulate and drive the strategic vision of the organization; execute, build upon, and scale the business' product roadmap Responsible for the life cycle of the order process from the time of customer purchase order receipt through shipment and invoice generation with all managers reporting into this role. Responsible for the activities that happen during the process of the order both system and manufacturing scheduling/oversight and distribution.

Help develop and maintain departmental budgets.

Provide direction, support and enhancements to the production operations

Conduct risk assessments, build recovery plans, create and monitor monthly KPls

Own and be accountable for inventory levels, including managing the planning and procurement activities to support the needs of the business

Audit quality of product and implement process efficiencies Maintain a "safety is #1" culture within the plant.

Qualifications .

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a production/manufacturing environment r lncredible leadership qualities to implement a new culture of "best-in-class" and setting the industry standard for performance .
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to complement technical expertise .
  • Strong quality management and continuous improvement experience
  • Leah, and kaizan principles
  • P. Eng and PMP certifications
