Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time Senior Project Engineer for our client in Fort McMurray, AB, a well-established energy company majoring in the production of synthetic crude from oil sands. In this role you will be responsible for applying professional knowledge in initiating and/or conducting complex assignments requiring modification of established guidelines and procedures. The successful candidate will set reasonable objectives and plans to achieve them in the long term (1-3 years) and be responsible for leading or working collaboratively in teams to develop plans to achieve long term objectives or implement corporate strategies. Responsibilities:
Demonstrate development of original ideas, viewpoints, or innovative solutions.

Employ management of change in the implementation process to achieve a high level of buy in for recommendations from all involved parties.
Ensures Process Safety, Value Engineering and Safety Design principles in development of design.
Contributes to development of strategies to manage Engineering Quality of Deliverable and Assets.
Assign and monitor the work of other engineers and technical staff - may serve as a mentor.
Qualifications:
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
Minimum seven years of Project Engineering experience
Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Applied Science or equivalent
Registered or ability to register as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA
Comprehensive knowledge of industry codes, company standards and safety policies
Ability to work with and influence stakeholders on technical decisions
Able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop, evaluate and implement solutions
Able to balance innovation & risk
