Senior Warehouse Associate

Adecco is currently hiring for a Senior Warehouse Associate for a client located in North York, ON. 

The Senior Warehouse Operative is responsible for filling customer orders ensuring orders are accurate, dispatched on time and meet customer expectations; receives stock, enters it into inventory and monitors levels by communicating with Warehouse Manager; processing special orders which include ordering, receiving, shipping and invoicing customers.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Pay rate: $42k to $45k, based on experience

Shift: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM


  • Packs orders including consolidating materials, adjusting an order where necessary and include relevant paperwork (e.g. packing note or invoice) ensuring accuracy with all orders
  • Receives deliveries of stock, packaging and approved customer returns, checking quantities and quality and storing them in the appropriate locations and re-stocking the shelves
  • Securely packages and labels orders ready for delivery ensuring the risk of damage is minimized
  • Quality checks all orders (colleagues, part time workers) to ensure they are accurate and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Conducts inventory checks as instructed to ensure that all stock is accounted for and losses and errors are minimized
  • Receives shipment, unloading from trucks using Lifter-loader machine and comparing items received against the manifest to detect error or omissions
  • Communicates clearly and cordially with customers and sales reps regarding invoices, stock issues and pick up schedules; maintains positive relationships
  • Coordinates special orders by ordering, receiving and shipping the product to our customers and invoicing once the shipment is sent out.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment and optimizes space and adheres to quality service standards and complies with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Adhering to the daily and weekly clean-up schedule including cutting and stacking boxes, disposing of garbage and recycling, sweeping the floor and other general warehouse maintenance duties as included in the schedule
  • Works in a safe manner and adheres to all Company policies and procedures as well as Health and Safety Regulations
  • Other general warehouse duties as assigned
  • Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

  • High School Diploma and 2-3 years’ experience working in a warehouse
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) and email
  • Experience operating a Lifter-loader machine
  • Basic knowledge of Canpar Program, Inventory Management System (SAGE) an asset
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks that may require light to moderate lifting 30-40 lbs
