Adecco is currently hiring a Service Desk Technician for a 1-year contract to work full-time hours for our client located in Ajax, ON. In this role, you will be providing technical assistance via ticketing system, phone, or email.  

  • Location: Ajax, ON
  • Pay Rate: $25/hour
  • Availability Required: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
  • Job type: 1-year contract

  • Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via ticketing system, phone, or email
  • Manage tickets in a timely manner according to defined SLA
  • Provide hardware/software support to end-users
  • Performing remote troubleshooting
  • Telecommunications (setup, troubleshooting)
  • Setup-up/install OS (Windows 10)
  • Image PCs
  • Network troubleshooting
  • Basic active directory tasks (modifications to group membership, password reset etc.),
  • Create and update IS documentation
  • Record requests, problems, and their resolution in logs
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements
  • Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in IT, technology
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Good Customer service and strong communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Adaptability
  • Team-working skills
  • Must have a minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience
  • Develops skills through structured mandates
  • Refers to existing procedures to solve routine or current problems
  • Receives instructions, directives, and guidance from other members of the team
