Adecco is currently hiring for a Settlements officer in Edmonton, AB. To qualify for the Settlements officer role, you must be able to work rotational shifts and have the ability to multitask in a challenging environment, pay attention to detail, showcase excellent customer service skills and have previous clerical background in Financial / Banking Industry.
For the role of a Settlements officer, we are looking for individuals who have strong experience with Microsoft Office & Internet Explorer, can type over 40 WPM, and has good phone customer service experience. Our client is a large, reliable and reputable organization within the financial services industry. This is a 6-month contract position and has a pay rate of $17 per hour.
Settlements officer Responsibilities:

  • Work in an administrative capacity completing a combination of data entry, clerical, investigations, and balancing functions.
  • Perform web and security updates as well as payouts and discharge typing and statements
  • Prepare packages, reports, as well as follow up letters to solicitors
  • Create and/or recognize exceptional customer service through established programs
  • Ensure all required processing and enquiries are fulfilled meeting SLA
  • Understand and apply bank/service centre operating policies and procedures
  • Ensure necessary due diligence is taken to support the accuracy of all transactions
  • Daily phone use and other duties as required.

Settlements officer Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and experience with Mortgages and Line of credit
  • Previous banking experience would be an asset
  • Strong oral and written communications skills coupled with excellent customer service skills are essential
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and Internet Explorer
  • Experience in administration work and telephone customer service
  • Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
