Shipping and Receiving Clerk


Adecco is currently hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a short-term contract role at our Ottawa, ON client’s medical manufacturing facility. In this role, your main function would include packing and shipping finished goods.  To qualify for this role you must have successfully graduated from high school and be able to pass a criminal background check. 


The position is on an 8-hour day shift and you would need to be available Monday through Friday. Salary based on experience.


Responsibilities for the Shipping and Receiving Clerk Role:


  • Primary responsibility is packing, and shipping finished goods to various locations.
  • Responsible for preparing all finished goods shipments and miscellaneous shipments for export to various destinations according to established procedures.
  • Ensure all outgoing shipments have proper customs, commercial invoices, FDA and any other paperwork required to prevent shipping delays.
  • Work with inventory control team to return reusable materials to appropriate suppliers.
  • Works under minimal supervision and should have the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Miscellaneous other duties as required.

    Requirements for the Shipping and Receiving Clerk Role:


  • Solid knowledge of FedEx shipping systems
  • Knowledge of QAD inventory management system
  • Excellent Microsoft systems skills
  • Successful graduation from High School
