ONSITE Opportunity

Compensation $55K to $60K

Our client is looking to hire an experienced Shipping Coordinator who can hit the ground running who will oversee all aspects of shipping and assist in compliance related activities including Import and Export, preparation of the product for shipping . This role works with the organization’s order management, purchasing and service personnel to plan the flow of materials and shipments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper shipping and compliance records and procedures.
  • Process all outgoing shipments through various means of transportation following standard procedures. Prepare shipping documents, commercial invoices, packing list, bill of ladings, etc. Trouble shoot any compliance related issues.
  • Maintain shipment files and report figures as needed.
  • Ensure that the shipping area is organized, properly maintained and debris/trash are disposed of daily.
  • Utilize the company operating system syteline to perform necessary warehouse, shipping, and material management processes.
  • Assist in receiving and inspection of materials
  • Requirements

  • Experience and knowledge of warehouse inventory management systems, shipping and receiving methods.
  • Adaptability/Attendance/Punctuality – is consistently on time and shows willingness for change and eagerness to do so. Must be able to work weekends as needed for month-end, quarter end shipments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, accuracy and planning abilities.
  • Able to work with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Must lift heavy to medium weight items.
  • Requires attention to detail and ability to handle multiple situations at one time.
  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in shipping/import and export/compliance related activities.
  • Must have good computer skills in Excel & Word.
  • ERP systems experience a plus.
  • 5-S experience a plus.
  • Coordinate shipments with Freight Forwarders.
  • Understand basic knowledge of US import and export regulations.
  • Track shipments.
  • UPS WorldShip and/or Process Weaver experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of valuation, classification, assists, and other customs areas are a benefit.
