Adecco is currently hiring for a Shipping Supervisor for a 6-month contract to work full-time hours for our client in Whitby, ON. I you have 3-5 years of previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment and can work 12-hour continental shifts, we want to speak with you! Apply today!

  • Job type: 6-month contract

    • Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safety, direction, supervision and coordination of the warehouse and shipping crew operations
  •  Ensures that standardized processes are properly documented and that the required training is provided to personnel responsible for operating to the standards.
  • Functions are related to trucking, rail, and warehouse storage of a wide range of merchant products.

    • Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Previous unionized supervisory experience
  • Previous shipping experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work continental shifts - 7 AM to 7 PM then 7 PM to 7 AM on a rotation basis
  • Physically fit due to amount of stairs within facility - climbing and descending numerous times during 12-hour shifts
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must have previous supervisory experience 3-5 years
  • Good communication skills
