Adecco is currently hiring for Short-Term Disability Case Manager to work on site for our client located in Halifax, NS. To be Qualify for the Short-Term Disability Case Manager you must have Superb organization skills and the ability to multi-task and work under time pressures. You must also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including strong attention to detail, to identify unusual claims and interpret policy contracts

Our client is a large, reliable, and reputable organization within the financial services industry. This is a 12 months full time contract, paying $­­­­19.28/hr
 

Short-Term Disability Case Manager Responsibilities:

  • Adjudicating and making independent decisions on non-contestable and contestable claims
  • Operating within well-defined guidelines and processes/practices for routine claims, identifying invalid claims, detecting fraud or misrepresentation and identifying unusual facts to minimize liability of paying multiple claims
  • Reviewing and interpreting policy contracts, procedures and administrative systems to determine the total benefit payable
  • Communicating to internal partners as appropriate (i.e. Admin Advantage, Regional Group Offices (RGO)
  • Short-Term Disability Case Manager Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education required
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and demonstrated empathy to deal with sensitive information
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work as a liaison between all internal and external stake holders
