Adecco is currently recruiting for a Showroom Consultant for our client located in Ottawa, ON. This is a full-time permanent role.

Client has two locations: Kanata & Gloucester. The ideal candidate will be working Monday to Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM.

The Showroom Consultant- Bilingual will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop customer relationships by ensuring expectations are met, issues are resolved, and satisfaction is guaranteed.
  • Schedule appointments with customers who have large projects such as whole home renovation, multiple bathrooms, to determine the best solutions.
  • Create all orders, quotes or bids in the computer, using already established procedures, pricing etc. from the Sales Manager, ensure accuracy of information. 
  • Follow-up on all files, review all open orders, to ensure appropriate action is taken to deliver the product or service within the agreed upon timeframe. 
  • Consult with the purchasing department, the manufacturer for required information such as availability of product, delivery dates etc.
  • Provide the information requested by customers for special items and/or for specialty products, forward literature and/or catalogues as requested.
  • Meet with representatives from different product manufacturers when requested by the Showroom Manager, to obtain specific information on various products.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of company products, services and features to meet customer needs.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times to ensure exceptional, friendly service.
  • Assist with the set-up / decoration of the displays
  • The Showroom Consultant- Bilingual must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • Secondary school education
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse store or in a plumbing and heating wholesaler or in a plumbing retail store or in customer service
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Customer oriented
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Able to deal with difficult situations / customers
  • Good problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Able to learn quickly
