Adecco is currently hiring for a Temporary full-time Signal Assembler in Markham. To qualify for this Signal Assembler role, you must have experience in performing mechanical/ electrical assembly and perform wiring and mechanical operations using a variety of hand tools including drills, wire crimpers. Our client is a leader in Traffic management solutions. Shift timings are Monday – Friday and the pay rate for this position is $15.50/hr.

Signal Assembler Responsibilities:

  • Pick and/ or kit orders.
  • Identify product(s) that is non-conforming report to Lead Hand.
  • Effectively correspond with Lead Hand to obtain or clarify order requirements, and modify bill of materials accordingly.
  • Perform mechanical assembly and/ or installation per procedures and or order specific details
  • Perform wiring and mechanical operations using a variety of hand tools including drills and wire crimpers
  • May create product labels
  • Exercise care for tools and equipment.
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly.
  • Operate pump truck and/ or hand cart to move, convey, or hoist product from / to shipping department, storage areas, and / or work areas.
  • Use good judgement and discretion when corresponding with employees, vendors, or customers
  • Follow and perform job functions as detailed by quality procedures and work instructions.

 Signal Assembler Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or three months related experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, e-mails, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as totals, percentages, decimals, fractions, etc.
  • Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in writing, oral, or diagram form
