Adecco is currently recruiting for a Senior Software Developer, for a full-time permanent role with one of our clients in Ottawa, ON.
The Senior Software Developer will have the following responsibilities:
- Complete high quality, well designed software applications that make appropriate use of technology;
- Participate in the project planning of software development tasks, testing, deployment and ongoing support;
- Will work closely with operations to improve continuous integration workflows and build a solid DevOps culture;
- Maintain currency in technological trends and directions through research and education.
- Strive to evolve our technical environment and practices;
The Senior Software Developer must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- Excellent programming skills and expert knowledge in one or more programming languages: Python, JavaScript, or Java;
- Ability to take high-level requirements and build functionally-robust code;
- In-depth understanding of the entire web development process;
- Knowledge of architecture and design patterns;

Nice to have [at least 2 of the list]: 
- Experience in implementing RESTful APIs;
- Experience with React, Node;
- Hands on knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes;
- Experience building resilient and scalable services;
- Experience in DevOps (CI pipelines, Docker, Jenkins);
- Knowledge of standards like Swagger, OpenAPI, and JSONSchema.
