Adecco has an excellent permanent opportunity as a Staff Accountant with a public accounting firm client; located in Ottawa, ON. Our client specializes in the small-to-medium sized organizations.

The Staff Accountant will have the following responsibilities:

  • Monitor progress of assigned engagements and keep the engagement team informed and updated;
  • Assist the firm with business development activities by recognizing business opportunities with current clients; and
  • Participate on internal committees or project teams in implementing firm management policies and initiatives.

The Staff Accountant must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • Must posses an accounting designation (CPA) or working towards one;
  • 2 years minimum public accounting experience;
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills;
  • Strong technical experience;
  • Experience in all aspects of the accounting profession including notice to readers, reviews, audits and corporate and personal income tax;
  • Passion and enthusiasm to work in public accounting and;
  • Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset.
