Adecco is looking for a Stock Associate to join our client's team located in Burnaby BC.  Our Client is a North American Leader in the Survival Technology industry. The primary purpose of this position is to deliver daily work in process in the stock room and components to various departments according to inventory requirement. Our Client offers a competitive salary and benefits package, a fantastic working environment, as well as an opportunity for personal and professional growth.

Stock Associate Key Responsibilities

  • Receives raw materials from suppliers (i.e. to unpack, label and stock). Verifies packing slip against goods received, matches purchase order to packing slip and labels all incoming raw materials with the part number, purchase order and date of receipt
  • Ensures raw materials adhere to QA inspection requirements and forwards materials to QA as required
  • Stocks raw materials after inspection requirements are met
  • Inputs all receipts of raw materials against the Purchase Order in MAP system and enters all "picklist" items removed from stock (FIFO) into the computerized Inventory Control System on a daily basis
  • Other daily duties include order picking, labelling, packaging, delivery to Production, fulfilling Production requests
  • On a weekly basis removes "picklist" items from stock (FIFO) and issues to appropriate department. Returns items to stock as required
  • Conducts cycle counts of inventory by physically counting sections of inventory and comparing to computer generated inventory lists. Notes and investigates discrepancies
  • Ensures FIFO list in MAP is accurate and updated accordingly during cycle counts.
  • Maintains a clean and safe immediate workspace
  • Follows all Safety Regulations and reports hazards, injuries, and accidents to the supervisor immediately
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Stock Associate Qualifications & Requirements 

  • Grade 12 Education or equivalent
  • Experienced stock keeper
  • Reach Truck certification and experience
  • Ability to handle and lift 50lbs; consistent of Standing, Kneeling and walking
  • Good computer skills and mathematical aptitude
  • Ability to converse in Basic English
  • Ability to follow verbal and/or written work instructions and techniques
  • Good work ethic, honest, patient, reliable and careful
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and accept cross-training to multiple operations
  • Ability to work in a self-sufficient environment
  • Ability to adapt and work well in a continuously changing environment


  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset
  • Experience with transactions in ERP and label generation will be an asset
