Adecco is currently recruiting for a Retail Store Manager. This is a full-time permanent position for a leading luxury clothing store based in downtown Ottawa, ON. Our client is looking for a Retail Store Manager with experience selling high-end clothes, a friendly personality, customer-oriented attitude and an interest in luxury clothing. The successful candidate must be available to work weekdays including evening shifts, as well as, weekends. 
The Retail Store Manager will have the following responsibilities: 
- Creating a compelling store experience for customers by engaging and modelling appropriate customer service behaviors to associates; 
- Guiding profitable sales and meet store financial plans through business decisions and leading the store team to accomplish performance goals; 
- Recruiting and make hiring, pay and termination decisions for all levels of store personnel including members of store management; 
- Accountable for operational results/expectations in store procedures, payroll management, cash handling and inventory control; 
- Ensuring sound inventory management through an accurate receiving and sending merchandise - process, completing all required business directives such as price change and ticketing procedures; 
- Achieving payroll plan through managing store schedules, monitoring labor costs and adapting to business conditions based on weekly and monthly sales; 
- Planning payroll and scheduling based on store traffic to ensure the store is staffed to assist customers; 
- Performing store visual standards following visual merchandising direction of the stores’ standards; 
- Managing the training process for new hires on culture, product knowledge, selling practices and other associate responsibilities; 
- Educating associates, monitoring daily store activity and ensuring company policies are followed; 
- Maintaining appropriate levels of product on the sales floor by planning and directing floor replenishment. 
The Retail Store Manager must meet the following mandatory requirements: 
- 5 years minimum experience in retail sales; 
- 3 years’ experience in similar role in a retail environment or supervisory role; 
- Worked in an environment that promotes loss prevention and understands standard security policies; 
- Must have vast knowledge regarding visual presentation, merchandising and store administration; 
- Must have experience training Assistant & sales associates in product knowledge, visual presentation, merchandising and/or sales techniques; 
- Strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills; 
- Experienced in meeting and exceeding sales goals and maintaining lasting relationship with clients; 
- Strong experience fashion sense and attention to details; 
- Committed to meeting personal goals and team goals; 
- Bilingualism in French and English considered a strong asset.
