Adecco is currently hiring for a Tax Assembler in Toronto, ON with one of Canada's leading professional services firms that provides audit, tax, enterprise risk, consulting, and financial advisory services. To be considered for this Tax Assembler role, you must have a minimum of 4 years of relevant administrative Assistant work experience, prior personal Tax preparation an asset and advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office. This is a 3.5 to 4-month contract position that has an hourly pay rate of $17.20 / hour.
Tax Assembler Responsibilities:
• E-Filing of US and Canadian returns and forms on behalf of the Client to meet tax filing deadlines
• Identify the issue on a rejected e-filed return and make the required correction to successfully file the client return 
• Prepare the tax equalization with transmittal letter using tax software for the Taxpayer, spouse and/or dependents whether it is an e-file return or paper filed as final packages to deliver to Client
• Identify missing or mismatched information from a specific software and contact the prepare to make the correction, prior to delivering to the client
• Use tax software to print out the returns in order to prepare the return package. T1 TaxPrep for Canadian returns and CCH Axcess for US returns. 
• Assembly shares a generic mailbox to receive all requests from across Canada. Will assemble the returns in PDF and post them on the Return Tracker and/or print out a copy to courier or hand deliver to the Client
•  Returns are generated from the software to one PDF. Therefore, will need to extract the returns or forms accurately so that the Client return can be filed with CRA and/or IRS
• Sort through the tax slips for the US/Canadian tax returns, then scan and post them on the Return Tracker
Tax Assembler Qualifications:
• College Diploma or Diploma in Office Systems Technology or equivalent
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an administrative assistant
• Prior personal Tax preparation an asset
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Good knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Outlook
• Ability to build excellent interpersonal relationships and proven the ability to work in a team effectively
• Fluent in English - French is considered an asset 
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks based on relative importance and urgency
• Discrete, available, autonomous and self-starter
