Adecco is currently recruiting for a Senior Tax Manager. This is a full-time permanent role to work with one of our private sector clients located in Calgary. 
The Senior Tax Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Becoming part of the leadership team that will continue to drive the growth of our tax practice;
- Planning and leading engagements focused on exploring and implementing tax strategies that help our clients achieve their goals;
- Taking relevant and valuable tax ideas to our clients to grow the practice;
- Building relationships at a senior level and be seen as a trusted business advisor;
- Participating in the creation and delivery of talent development programs to support the growth of our people;
- Mentoring and coaching team members to their highest potential;
- Creating a learning environment through leadership;
- Working in a fast growing and challenging environment with exceptional business advisors who are eminent in their respective technical field
- Providing value-focused tax solutions and business advice to private businesses and their owners, ranging from new ventures to multi-billion-dollar multi-national enterprises;
- Advising, guiding and supporting management and ownership groups in achieving their goals;
- Developing solutions through debate and discussion, in our teams and with clients;
- Guiding the development of our emerging tax professionals as they expand their business advisory skillset;
- Identifying and mitigating business risks associated with projects;
- And other tasks.
The Senior Tax Manager must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- Completion of a University degree in accounting;
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant work experience advising private companies and their owners;
- Completion of the CPA Canada In-depth Tax program
- Completion or interest in enrolling in CICA Corporate Reorganizations course or Advanced Tax Issues for the Owner Manager;
- Ability to demonstrate business advisory mindset that enables clients to achieve their objectives;
- Ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex tax and business issues to our clients;
- Excellent project problem handling, client communications, decision making and client management;
- Ability to anticipate the long-term impact of all decisions and take a broad approach to problem solving;
- Must be able to enter the USA to work on assignments for occasional international travel;
- Canadian travel required.
