Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Technical Security Specialist to work a long-term contract at one of Canada's largest petroleum refiners in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will be providing technical support for non-IT security tools and enhancing user efficiencies through tool optimization.

  • Location: Calgary, AB
  • Shifts: Monday - Friday
  • Job type: Full-time | Long-Term Contract

    • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage technical security systems and projects from inception to commissioning
  • Coordinate with installers, contractors, and Houston Technical Security
  • Ensure compliance with guidelines and technical security portal information
  • Maintain project schedules, costs, budgets, equipment requirements, and design
  • Obtain and maintain advanced Genetec certifications
  • Develop Genetec operator training syllabus, implementation, and assessment
  • Manage spare parts, warranties, licenses, and equipment repairs
  • Monitor and secure the network from cybersecurity threats
  • Develop and maintain Technical Security Systems Preventative Maintenance Job Schedule (PMJS)
  • Attend training sessions and support in-field repairs
  • Support security software tools and templates

    • Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years of experience in designing technical security systems is required
  • Minimum three years of hands-on GENETEC experience is a must
  • Technical Security Systems background, CPP/PSP certification is preferred
  • Oil & Gas industry experience is desirable
  • Proficient in MS Office tools
  • Should have a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
  • Capable of reading blueprints, drawings, and as-builds
  • Able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle pressure
  • Must be culturally sensitive and aware
  • Possess strong report preparation, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
