Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Technical Service Manager for our client, a leading solution-based company located in Saint John, NB. In this role, you will be responsible for the team oversight, monitoring performance, driving individual competency, and providing an overall lift in productivity. If you have at least 2-3 years of experience in a managerial position with a focus in the Information Technology field and/or Technical Support, this job is for you!

  • Pay range: $40k - $50k
  • Location: Saint John, NB (Offering remote work)  
  • Shifts: Days | Monday to Friday

  • Job responsibilities include:

  • Create, run and analyze daily reports and taking required actions
  • Proactively managing and mitigating issues to deliver strong customer-focused service
  • Manage customer escalations in a timely manner while ensuring the technical support personnel are handling the situation
  • Prepare for and attend any regular metric meetings with the client or any internal stakeholders
  • Provide oversight and direction to the employees in accordance with the company’s or client’s policies and procedures
  • Provide effective performance management by setting quarterly expectations, reviewing progress and holding employees accountable for metrics and results
  • Coach, mentor, and support the staff by scheduling regular one-on-one meetings with each employee
  • Develop and implement continuous improvements of processes/procedures to ensure consistent delivery
  • Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field or a combination of education and experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in a managerial position – would be considered an asset if in a Technical Support Center or as a Technical Support Specialist
  • Minimum Three (3) years of experience in the information technology field
  • Excellent communication skills, coaching/mentoring skills and time management skills
  • Must be able to manage a team of at least twenty (20) resources effectively and efficiently
  • Experience interpreting analytics to determine areas and methods of improvement
  • Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on operations and business processes
  • Ability to identify key issues and creatively/strategically overcome challenges
  • Strong work ethics with high level of integrity, confidentially and accountability
  • Must be customer-focused and possess relationship building experience
