Our client, an established Vancouver based Security and Alarm Company are looking for a Full Time Technical Support member to join their Operations Team. This is a great permanent opportunity to become a part of growing team in an easily accessible location in Vancouver.

The successful applicant will be responsible for answering customer service requests, investigating service issues in customer history, entering work orders into service dispatch program, and providing basic tech support and troubleshooting for customer security & CCTV systems.

Working hours are: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Must be fluent in English; both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to learn new specialized software relating to our business.
  • Ability to troubleshoot while communicating professionally with clients over the phone

Must be:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Communicate effectively with Management, Sales, Service Staff and Field Technicians
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Customer care focused and ability to interact with a variety of commercial and residential clients.

Assets:

  • Previous experience in the alarm industry and/or knowledge of alarm/security systems is a benefit, but is not a requirement as training will be provided
  • As this is a position of trust, you must be able to clear a security background check and obtain a security license, as issued by Security Programs of BC
