Adecco is currently recruiting for a Technical Writer for a 1-year contract with a possibility of extension. Our client is a Crown Corporation located in Ottawa, ON. The candidate must hold a valid reliability security clearance or be eligible for one
The Technical Writer will have the following responsibilities:
-Assist in creating technical documents to assist in the transition/transformation work of our client;
-Collaborate extensively with an extended Development Team;
-Develop a thorough understanding of the audience and the documentation required by meeting with colleagues, and working with leaders to discuss and capture technical documentation;
-Research and builds knowledge about products, services, technology, or concepts to be documented;
-Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information and instructions for greatest reader comprehension and writes and edits technical information accordingly;
-Prepare or commissions graphics and illustrations to elaborate on or complement technical writing;
-Meet with subject matter experts in order to ensure that specialized topics are appropriately addressed and discussed;
-Revise, edit, or update instructions, technical information, and frequently asked questions as necessary.
The Technical Writer must meet the following mandatory requirements:
-Hold at least a Secondary School Diploma or higher;
-3+ years of relevant experience;
-Excellent written Communication skill;
-Knowledge of Software and Computers;
-Ability to Explain Concepts Clearly;
-Planning and Organization and Teamwork skills;
-Attention to Detail, Multitasking;
-Ability to Work Under Pressure.
Nice to have:
-A Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, or Information Technology
