Adecco is currently hiring a Training & Development Specialist for one of our top insurance company clients in Toronto, ON. This is a 8 months contract and pays $42.00/hr.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business / Computer Science / Education or a related field
  • Will have at least 3 years’ experience in technology change management

Technical Trainer, Wealth Asset Management -

Training & Development Consultant

If you have the right mix of change management and systems experience, this role will be ideal for you!

In this position, you'll get to fully leverage technology in optimizing our business training and change management. Utilize a combination of technical expertise and skills in training to support business objectives. You're a big-picture thinker and change leader who is passionate and creative about the user experience; enabling change management for high adoption and engagement.

The Technical Trainer has two major areas of responsibility:

1.         Designing the Digital Training Materials

•           Design and development of creative and engaging multimedia training solutions, interactive and experiential workshops, and live-guided hands on solutions

•           Maintain electronic knowledge base of training and support materials

2.         Coordinating Change Management & Adoption

•           Communication and managing change for fast pace sales users across multiple business processes and systems

•           Delivery of electronic, virtual and in-person end user training for the various technology platforms and stakeholders

•           Enable process improvement and optimal user experience

•           Build and maintain a change management experience tracked with KPIs to grow adoption


Technical Trainer Key Accountabilities:

Electronic Training (WalkMe) (70%)

  • Develop training materials that include a compelling introduction to CRM (or other technologies), reporting and dashboard functionality; and information on campaigns, mass emails, and other business processes
  • Design succinct training material in a variety of forms and mediums (video modules, best practice documentation, "How To" step-by-step support material, live-guided electronic training, etc.)
  • Manage the electronic training knowledge base through concept, design, implementation and ongoing maintenance
  • Responsible for maintaining the knowledge base storage and versioning the content for the various platforms and their audiences
  • Refine the metrics / KPIs for the electronic training experience
  • Provide analytics into the electronic training engagement and make recommendations to improve

Change Management & Adoption (15%)

  • Maintain a training schedule with each user group to optimize the experience
  • Use adult learning principles to improve learner experience and increase retention
  • Apply adult learning industry standard design models (Experiential Model, ADDIE, Kemp)
  • Conduct ongoing needs assessment interviews with customers to determine training requirements, best practices and themes in the change management
  • Manage end-to-end training initiatives and annual training plan
  • Organize and deliver communications, training and support knowledge base
  • Manage the KPIs for change management and adoption
  • Report to management on the various platforms’ usage and adoption and provide suggestions for growth

Onboarding Experience (10%)

  • Maintain an onboarding strategy and experience for the various stakeholder groups and system platforms
  • Align with the corporate onboarding and industry best practices to provide an optimal experience for new hires
  • Provide metrics to the people leaders on the progress of onboarding for their coaching sessions

In-Person and Virtual Sessions (5%)

  • Facilitate and deliver learning solutions to a variety of audiences both virtual and in-person
  • Curriculum design must be relevant, innovative and interactive
  • Deliver “just in time” training to support a rapidly changing work environment
  • When time allows, you will offer ad-hoc dedicated one-on-one “refresher” training sessions for end users

Technical Trainer Job Requirements:

  • knowledge of, and the ability to apply, adult learning principles
  • Salesforce experience an asset
  • Prior experience with “WalkMe” platform and/or the Digital Adoption Manager (DAM) certification an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, CRM system, platform, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, JIRA/Confluence, Microsoft Teams/Planner
  • Can interact with business users and system staff in a Business Analyst / Trainer capacity, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality work and professionalism
  • Atleast 3 years of demonstrated experience in conducting and planning training sessions for small and large audiences
  • Subject Matter Expert for technical training through various
  • General business knowledge of both Wealth and Life Insurance products
  • Expertise with process improvement and workflow is an asset

Technical Trainer Skills and Competencies

  • Strong technical writing skills for developing support material, training content and communications while maintaining attention to accuracy and detail
  • You collaborate closely with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify commonalities for processes improvement, best practices documentation, etc.
  • You are a solution-oriented individual who is confident in making recommendations to management based on trends and data analysis that impact business process and experience
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills – both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
  • You understand training and change management best practices and invest in continuing education efforts needed to keep current on technology and best practices
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology features and capabilities; and provide the training and change management
