Adecco is currently hiring for a full-time Translator contract position in Oakville. This Translator opportunity is primarily for translating and interpreting French into English. It is a contract position within the aftermarket team. The Technical Translator will be required to translate and publish technical instructions from French to English, and to develop other technical documents as needed. This Translator position will be a 7-month contract and the pay rate is $34.00-$36.00/hr plus 4% vacation pay.

 

Translator Responsibilities:

•Perform translation of written text from French into English in various business and social settings         

•Translate technological and engineering documentation, with attention to fact and nuance

•Edit, standardize, proofread, revise and finalize translated material prepared by other employees and contractors

•Prepare project reports and documentation            

 

Translator Qualifications:

•Must be fluent in French language

•This position requires the individual to have a good background in engineering and/or aerospace language              

•Effective writing skills to communicate well with others in writing as indicated by the needs of the reader/audience

•Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, grammar, and history
