Adecco is currently recruiting for a Senior travel consultant. This is a full-time permanent opportunity, and the position is full time in the office from 9:00-5:00 with Some travel to Conventions. This role is on-site with our client located in downtown Ottawa, ON.
The Senior travel consultant will have the following responsibilities:
Offers a dynamic professional environment which strives to offer the ultimate customer experience;
Drive change and support with each call while cultivating a great working environment to deliver on what is best for the customer;
Research various destinations and means of travel and consider the prices, customs, and weather conditions;
Respect clients’ specifications and wishes, and travel consultants research and suggest appropriate travel packages or services;
Will handle the reservations, changes, and cancellations up to the day of check-in;
organize travel from beginning to end and book tickets, accommodation, secure rental transportation, and arrange for meals when requested;
They supply travelers with necessary information and useful travel material, including event programs or maps.
The Senior travel consultant must meet the following mandatory requirements:
Bilingualism in English and French highly preferable;
Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently;
Must have attention to detail, and accuracy on all reservations;
Knowledge of Apollo/Galileo or other traveling CRM preferred;
Must have TICO certificate;
Must have excellent customer service skills;
Must be self-starter;
Must have strong computer literacy;
Ability to retain information, works well under pressure, organized, and ability to prioritize
Adept at problem solving;
Union knowledge is considered an asset;
Other duties not limited to the above.
