Adecco is currently recruiting for a full-time Turnaround Administrator in Edmonton, AB, to work a 1- year contract at a well-established energy company majoring in the production of synthetic crude from oil sands. In this diverse role, you will provide administrative support to support turnaround events, by performing duties of moderate scope and complexity requiring some analysis, exercise of judgment and detailed knowledge of related work.

  • Pay Rate: $30 - $39 / hour
  • Location: Edmonton, AB
  • Shifts: Monday - Saturday | 9 hours per day
  • Job type: Full-time | 1-year contract
  • Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Acts as administrative assistant performing a full range of secretarial services for a defined workgroup. May compose/type correspondence, screen phone calls, schedule appointments, meetings & travel
  • Expedites & organizes the flow of work through the manager/ supervisor's office
  • May also have responsibility for a specific administrative function, e.g. coding invoices, sales reports or other administrative duties within defined limits
  • Solves most problems independently based on precedents, and procedures, with occasional need for assistance
  • Receives some supervision but results/output are subject only to occasional review
  • Develops own objectives and prioritizes workload with input as required
  • Uses established systems and processes, but may make modifications that impact own workflow
  • Requirements and Qualifications: 
  • Minimum 2-5 years of field or turnaround administrative experience within the Oil & Gas industry is a must
  • Excellent computer skills for word processing, communication, accessing & manipulating a variety of information are needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel
  • Should be an effective oral and written communicator
  • Well organized and able to work effectively under pressure
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
