Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time talented Turnaround Scheduler/Planner to work for our client, a leader in the gas and oil sector, in Edmonton, AB. In this role you will be accountable for building, integrating, and optimizing execution plan of construction projects and turnarounds. You will be responsible to manage overall scheduling cycle of optimized plan while achieving targets in a safe, cost effective and timely manner at the Edmonton refinery. You will take a lead role for the assigned construction projects and/or units for any turnaround event.

  • Develop Integrated schedules for capital projects and turnaround events including building/linking of individual job plans and levelling the workforce resource pools

  • Manage and implement progress into the Primavera (P6) and deliver status reporting

  • Prepare, update and distribute shift/daily/weekly schedules to the construction/turnaround teams

  • Lead and facilitate schedule development and tracking meetings and assist in reviews on required frequency

  • Collaborate with extended Project/Turnaround stakeholders to identify and optimize critical-path

  • Deliver Earned Value management reporting for forecasting EAC during execution stages

  • Be able to develop and maintain develop Power BI reporting on creative ways

  • Provide input and continuous improvement initiatives of the maintenance, planning, scheduling and data integrity processes and standards


  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

  • Minimum Ten (10) Scheduling Experience in Industrial setting of managing Turnaround Schedules

  • Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 Scheduling tool alongwith familiarity to SAP

  • Working knowledge of Power BI reporting and Apps

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

  • A deep understanding of planning and scheduling concepts, performances measures, scheduling tools and techniques

  • Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to work professionally with other team members at various levels

  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to work with complex schedules and optimize for best cost/benefit ratios
