Utilities Engineer in Kingston, ON

Adecco’s client is seeking a highly motivated Utilities Engineer with experience in constructing large industrial projects specifically within the chemical manufacturing space. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining utility systems for our client. You will work closely with the maintenance, operations, and production teams to ensure that all utility systems are reliable and efficient.

Utilities Engineer Responsibilities Are:

  • Design, develop and maintain utility systems such as water, steam, gas, compressed air, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for utility systems.
  • Monitor and analyze utility usage and develop strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with utility systems and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for utility systems.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the operation and maintenance of utility systems.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new utility systems and upgrades to existing systems.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that utility systems meet the needs of the organization.
  • Utilities Engineer Qualifications Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining utility systems.
  • Strong understanding of utility systems such as water, steam, gas, compressed air, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for utility systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.
