Adecco in partnership with our client Promark Telecon is actively seeking utility locators for the Toronto area. This permanent seasonal position with many benefits offers a base salary of $18.35/per hour. In order to qualify for this position, you must be available during the day and full time. You must also have a valid driver's license.

The locator plays an essential role in marking underground networks for private contracts to prevent any damage that may occur during excavation and other works.

  • Responsibilities of the utility locator :

  • Perform underground network location;
  • Conduct research or analyze data regarding excavation locations, construction engravings and plans to determine actual lines of private services requested;
  • Manipulate various electronic devices to assist in locating and verifying underground services;
  • Mark service lines using spray paint or flags;
  • Prepare various reports.
  • Requirements:

  • High school diploma;
  • Possession of a valid driver's license (required);
  • Good driving record;
  • Good computer skills (Outlook email, Internet, Streetview, etc.);
  • Good sense of direction;
  • Excellent work organization skills;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Bilingualism is an asset;
