Warehouse Associate Salary: $48k $52k per annum

This position is an opportunity for a Supply Chain professional to get in on the ground level at the first Canadian location for a leading US client in the mapping and geo spacial sector.

Position currently involves working with one other person (Warehouse Manager) working with complex systems, utilizing problem solving skills and maintaining organization in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment.
Position is Tuesday to Saturday ensuring coverage for couriers on Saturdays.
Initial Key Responsibilities Attending 2 week training in San Jose, California
Work with Warehouse Manager on sourcing of vendor partners for warehouse operations racking, shipping materials, couriers etc
Working with Warehouse Manager to set up warehouse in an efficient and productive manner
Assist in creating a Health & Safety program Assist in the set up of documentation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Ongoing Responsible for supporting the Warehouse Manager in the smooth operation of the Vancouver location Ensures all equipment is received physically and entered accurately in the computer system
Ensuring all FRUs are updated, packaged and tested as need be.
Ensure that inventory and restock levels are appropriate for client servicing needs.
Documenting and Maintaining procedures Maintain appropriate level of customer service both with customers and internal colleagues in other locations
Keeps on top of shipping/receiving prioritization and other duties Ability to prioritize and work to deadlines
Ensuring all paperwork for shipment and customs is accurate and complete
Assist Warehouse Manager in generation of reports as needed related to stock levels, returns, shipment, turns etc.
Flexibility in scheduling to ensure a 6 day a week operation and coverage at all times
Prep and Maintain stock and inventory levels
Constructing reports based on fulfillment needs
Be able to travel to the U.S. Pass background check and drug test
Characteristics and background of the successful incumbent:
Minimum of 3 years experience working within a warehouse environment
Strong documentation and attention to detail
Ability to take direction well and give constructive suggestions
Good computer skills and strong understanding of shipping/receiving and inventory management
Dependable and responsible
Good common sense and a think on your feet ability
Self driven with the ability to work independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an understanding of what mode is appropriate
