Adecco is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper on behalf of our client based in Gold River, British Columbia. This is a full-time position offering a competitive hourly wage of $28.00–$32.00, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and organized financial records to support day-to-day operations, reporting, and compliance. You will be responsible for tasks such as recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budget preparation and audits.

This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and a deep understanding of financial procedures. You'll work closely with the Finance Manager and other departments to ensure smooth and transparent financial operations. Responsibilities:  

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.

  • Record all financial transactions such as purchases, revenues, invoices, and payments.

  • Reconcile bank statements and other accounts monthly.

  • Prepare trial balances and financial reports.

  • Assist in developing and monitoring budgets under the supervision of the Finance Manager.

  • Ensure that all activities comply with relevant accounting standards and internal procedures.

  • Monitor financial data and trends, identifying any discrepancies or concerns.

  • Prepare and send invoices.

  • Process incoming and outgoing payments.

  • Support external audits and other finance-related tasks as required.

Requirements:  

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

  • Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and accounting software (Xyntax & Payworks preferred).

  • Full-cycle accounting credentials are a strong asset.
