Adecco is currently hiring a full-time detail-oriented and experienced Civil Designer – Municipal Infrastructure to join our client’s engineering team. In this role, you will support the planning and design of municipal infrastructure projects, including roadways, storm and sanitary sewers, water distribution systems, and stormwater management facilities. You’ll work closely with engineers and project managers to produce high-quality design drawings and support the successful delivery of public and private sector projects.
Pay Rate: $90,000 - $125,000 + bonus/ year and other perks (based on experience)

Responsibilities:
Develop plan and profile drawings for municipal infrastructure projects, with a focus on roadway design using OpenRoads and Civil 3D
Create detailed municipal corridor drawings, including centreline alignments and functional roadway layouts
Design and plot alignments for watermain, sanitary, and storm sewer systems
Perform watermain design, including alignment, sizing, and hydraulic considerations
Conduct sanitary and stormwater system sizing, stormwater management (SWM) design, and water balance impact assessments
Perform design calculations in compliance with engineering principles and applicable regulatory standards for municipal development projects
Coordinate with municipal officials, contractors, suppliers, and the public to ensure project objectives and timelines are met
Conduct hydraulic modeling of watercourses (creeks and rivers), including floodplain mapping for infrastructure projects
Qualifications:
Possession of a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation is required
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a focus on municipal development projects
Proficiency in OpenRoads and MicroStation design is essential
Hands-on experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD for civil infrastructure design
In-depth understanding of municipal road design and underground servicing systems
Solid grasp of engineering principles, municipal design standards, and applicable regulations
General knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering fields and how they interrelate
Strong technical writing abilities and effective verbal and written communication skills
Proven time management, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities with a high level of attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Familiarity with a variety of civil engineering software tools
Experience in preliminary and final design of roads, bridges, and municipal infrastructure
Skilled in servicing, grading, and drainage system design
Advanced proficiency in water resources engineering and modeling software such as:

GAWSER
MIDUSS
OTTHYMO
XP-SWMM
Strong experience with agency approvals, permit applications, and regulatory coordination
Understanding and application of trenchless technologies in infrastructure design
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
