Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in developing and maintaining scalable infrastructure for data processing and analysis for our client in Calgary, AB. In this role you will be responsible for building and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and enabling advanced analytics across the organization.
An immediate focus of this role will be to stabilize a lift-and-shift migration from legacy systems, so experience in migration support and troubleshooting is essential. This position requires strong knowledge of Databricks and SAP data structures, as well as a solid background in large-scale data engineering practices.

Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable, and robust data pipelines and data integration solutions
Monitor and improve data quality, reliability, and performance
Support and stabilize existing systems during the legacy-to-modern platform migration
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to support analytics and reporting needs
Work closely with platform and infrastructure teams to optimize performance and cost of data solutions
Implement best practices for data engineering and data governance
Troubleshoot data issues and provide timely resolution
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, particularly on the Databricks platform
Experience working with SAP data and integration with modern data platforms
Strong expertise in building data pipelines using tools like Apache Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake, etc.
Proficient in SQL, Python, and other scripting languages used in data engineering
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data architecture design
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle complex, multi-source data integrations
Experience in enterprise-scale data migration projects
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools
Familiarity with CI/CD and data pipeline automation
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
