In this remote role, you will manage disability claims while supporting regional offices in Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver. Your work will blend clinical insight, data-driven decision-making, and empathetic communication to help clients regain control of their lives. This is a 6-month contract position with the potential to transition into a permanent role, offering $42 per hour. Responsibilities:
Manage and adjudicate disability claims (short-term, long-term, and salary continuance) with integrity and attention to detail.
Collaborate with clients, employers, and healthcare providers to develop and monitor effective return-to-work plans.
Apply crisis intervention and rehabilitation strategies to support clients in regaining functional ability.
Evaluate medical and non-medical information to assess return-to-work readiness.
Leverage data and analytics to make informed decisions and monitor recovery trends.
Maintain empathetic communication with clients, ensuring support is consistent and compassionate.
Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Kinesiology, or Business.
Minimum 2 years of Case Management experience in insurance sector.
Minimum 2 years of case management experience.
Strong decision-making skills under pressure.
Comfort using digital platforms and case management systems.
Excellent communication and emotional intelligence.
Previous frontline healthcare experience (e.g. nursing, OT, physiotherapy, or mental health support).
